If all has gone as planned, I will be in the air en route to Tokyo, Japan when this is automatically posted. After a 12-hour flight, I will arrive at Narita International Airport at 3:30PM Japan time, at which point I will make my way to Temple University Japan’s Ontakesan dorm building to claim my room.
I will do all I can to provide an update shortly after arrival. Provided that no major hurdles appear, I should be able to post again this evening, but I may have to wait until the next day.
Well, I’ve finally done it. I am no longer a high school student! Yesterday, at about 7:45 PM I graduated from Rainelle Christian Academy. Here are a couple pictures [WARNING: May blind viewers due to excessive nerdiness and/or ugliness]:
The solo photo is me. The second photo is of my father and I.
If all goes as planned, I will be attending Concord University this fall. As for this summer, it’s hard to tell what may happen
I have just updated WordPress to version 2.1.1, and have updated the blog’s theme, Tarski, to match. If anybody finds any bugs, please let me know about them. I also installed the ever-popular Lightbox 2 plugin for easier viewing/previewing of images. Since bandwidth usage has returned to (somewhat) normal, I have put the Mac OS Through the Years and 3D Art sections back up and made them use Lightbox for image viewing.
In other news, my senior year of high school is wrapping up very quickly. I’ll be taking the ACT on April 14th, and I’ll be going on our senior trip to Arizona in about a month. Graduation day is May 25th. It’s hard to believe everything has moved this quickly, and that I’ll be in college in less than a year. Kinda scary, really.
Also, one more thing before I finish this blogpost - I need a new image for the site header. The stupid default tree isn’t cutting it anymore. What I would like is a header featuring a beautiful environment from an anime; something like a sunset or a field. Another idea I had was rotating header images featuring various different anime characters. At any rate, I’m asking anybody that’s reading this for suggestions on the matter.
After being silent for seemingly forever, I’ve gotten back to posting. As you may have noticed, I changed the site’s theme as well. The new look is a nice, fresh change from the previous look.
In the time I’ve been missing, I’ve gotten obsessed with all things World of Warcraft and have been pretty busy most all the time with either homework, WoW, visiting friends, or a combination of the bunch. Nothing much has happened that’s really worth mentioning, except possibly software developments.
Expedition, Peter MacWhinnie and I’s Finder replacement project, has been gaining some steam lately and it has me a bit excited. We’re looking for both developers and betatesters for the project, so if you’re interested swing over to the forums at the Expedition homepage and apply for the position you’re interested in.
Well, today was kinda interesting… First off, I was having major sinus trouble at school, so I took some sinus medicine, and being my first time taking it it put me WAAAY out there in left field. Don’t get me wrong, it worked and I’m happy for that, but I was just kinda floating around on my own cloud for a while (NOT a good thing in the middle of English class >_<). On another note, I got the SAT test results from last year’s school back today, and I’m quite surprised/pleased with the results. I scored PHS (Post-High School) in every category except Math, in which I scored 10th grade 6th month in. Heh, and I thought I was gonna bomb it…
As for the site, it looks like traffic to Mac OS Through the Years has finally cooled down some (thank goodness!). Now I just gotta deal with an extra $85+ on my hosting bill thanks to the extra 230GB of traffic. Oh well, I guess that’s one of the disadvantages of being popular.
