surfDude 0.4 Released!

What’s New:

  • Icons in search field menu and user agent menu.
  • Optional home button and corresponding menu item.
  • New icon.
  • Interface options split into its own preference pane and partially redesigned.
  • Opacity slider in the Interface preference panel now has a minimum of 0.2 to prevent windows from completely vanishing when inactive.
  • Slightly better support for “https://” URLs.
  • “ftp://” links and URLs should now be forwarded to your default FTP client.
  • Stripped some dead code, cleaned up active code.
  • Preliminary work on the bookmarks menu started.

Bug fixes:

  • External links (links in Mail.app etc) should now open in surfDude when clicked if surfDude is the default browser.
  • Links in pages that open new windows should now do so.
  • “Open in New Window” in link contextual menu now functional.
  • Status bar text should now act more consistantly and more as expected.

surfDude 0.3 Released!

- What’s new:
• Functional “Find in Page…” panel
• Search engine choices in search field’s menu now functional
• Browser user agent spoofing
• Color-code source viewing (Thanks Peter!)

- Bug fixes:
• Page load errors should no longer be popping up randomly.
• Find Panel menu item no longer inactive.
• Item in the search menu should no longer be inactive.
• surfDude now identifies itself as Safari so certain sites (gMail, bank sites, etc.) function properly.

New surfDude build on the way…

I’ve been making a number of tweaks, changes, and feature additions to my hobby Cocoa programming browser, surfDude. Some of the new features include an automatic self-update system, fullscreen mode, and choice between brushed or unified in the preferences. Expect to see it posted within the week.

AICustomTabsView

Just a little note - If ANYBODY knows ANYTHING about how to use Adium’s tabs (AICustomTabsView) I would highly appreciate it if you IMed me or emailed me. Contact me via the info on the “About Me” page. The lack of documentation on this class is driving me nuts >_<.
